Stern states that he disagrees with Levin's statement that the Greensboro Jewish communities have forgotten their January campaign to raise money for the United Jewish Campaign. Stern also states it is not a logical time to start another campaign for funds.

The letter describes Emdin's background, debt, and employment troubles. There is a small handwritten note from Rabbi Milton Ellis on the top right corner of the first page of the letter stating "You may need this in the course of the Summer-M Ellis."
