UNC Greensboro's Elliott University Center (EUC) serves as a hub for the campus community. This collection contains calendars, newsletters, and other records documenting the management of the EUC.
Eloise Patricia Rallings Lewis Papers
Dr. Eloise P. Lewis became the founding Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Under her leadership, the School gained state and national accreditation, a master's degree program was added, and a chapter of the honorary society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, was established. The Lewis Papers cover her career from 1953 to 1985 as well as some of her activities after her retirement. The collection contains correspondence, speeches, biographical information and photographs, publications, plaques and artifacts.
Emily Herring Wilson Papers
This scrapbook, created by Emily Herring Wilson between 1959 and 1960, contains materials relating to Wilson's student experience at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). This scrapbook contains photographs of campus views, dorm interiors, snow on campus (including Foust Fountain frozen), the 1961 beanie, and 1960 Rat Day.
Emily Morgan Manlove Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Emily Morgan Manlove between 1949 and 1951, documents Manlove's experience as a student at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook is partially annotated and contains materials documenting Manlove's involvement in the Student Government Association and the Aletheian Society (including Red Day ephemera). The scrapbook also contains tickets to the 1950 inauguration of the president of the consolidated universities, a program for the 23rd annual Gym Meet, coins, and commencement materials.
Emma Gertrude Hutaff Clark Scrapbook
Emma Gertrude Hutaff Clark of Fayetteville, NC was a student at the State Normal and Industrial College (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro), entering in 1915 and leaving in 1917. The Emma Gertrude Hutaff Clark Scrapbook dates from 1915 to 1919. Its pages are black and annotated in white ink. The scrapbook contains mounted photographs that feature various aspects of the State Normal and Industrial College and student life. Photographs depict various friends and campus scenes, including 1917 Commencement, a student in a class sweater, a production of "Mice and Men," 1916 Commencement, 1916 Junior and Senior Marshalls, 1916 May Day Pageant, 1916 Class Mascot, a student wearing a gym suit, the campus tennis courts, the Cornelian goat, and several teachers, including W.C. Jackson, Julius Frost, and Miss Coit.
Esther Maria Samuelson Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Esther Maria Samuelson between 1946 and 1949, documents Samuelson's experience as a student at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Samuelson was a foreign student from Sweden, and the scrapbook contains ephemera relating to her membership in the Adelphian literary society, including pledge rules; materials from her participation in Play-Likers and the production of "Skin of Our Teeth," and photographs of the horse show, McIver House, campus views, play productions, the fountain in front of Foust, and the interiors of dorm rooms.

This scrapbook, created by Etta Mae Godwin between 1931 amd 1937 documents her time at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now UNCG).
Evelyn Louise Gordon Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Evelyn Louise Gordon between 1924 and 1928, documents Gordon's experience as a student at the North Carolina College for Women (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook contains ephemera related to Gordon's admittance to the college, student handbooks from 1924-1925 and 1925-1926, the "Official Bulletin of Information" from 1924-1925, at home cards, an image of "Baptist Cottage," straw wrappers, a cigarette, an invitation to the second annual Flower Show, autographs from friends, and ephemera from local businesses, her membership in the Aletheian Society, and the College physical exam.
Fannie Northrop Kletzien Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Fannie Northrop Kletzien between 1921 and 1925, contains material relating to Kletzien's student experience at the North Carolina College for Women (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Kletzien, of Wilmington, North Carolina, was a member of the Dikean Literary Society and Y.W.C.A. She became a Dikean her sophomore year and was in the House of Representatives her senior year. She was the Dikean Toaster, Treasurer of Dikean Society, Vice-House President, and Chairman of Class Social Committee her junior year. During her senior year she was the Business Manager of the "Handbook," Class Vice-President, a member of the "Pine Needles" staff, the French Club, and the Education Club. The scrapbook contains postcards, stamps, programs of campus plays, invitation cards, photographs, colored place cards, newspaper clippings, drawings, crepe paper flowers, autographs and comments from friends and classmates, YWCA ephemera, an invitation to the Freshman-Junior wedding, Dikean ephemera, 3-D glasses, a Dikean skeleton, and material from Graduating Exercises of 1925, Vesper Service of 1925, Class Day Exercises of 1925, and Baccalaureate Sermon of 1925. The scrapbook also includes photographs taken at the beach, an advertisement for the Twin Puzzle Word Building Contest from the "Atlanta Constitution" newspaper, and a brochure from Virginia's Shenandoah Caverns.
Florence Rutherford Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Florence Rutherford between 1925 and 1927, documents Rutherford's experience as a student at the North Carolina College for Women (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook contains ephemera related to Rutherford's membership in the Cornelian Society and photographs from a vacation on the North Carolina coast.
Fodie M. Buie Scrapbook
Fodie M. Buie of Robeson County, North Carolina, attended the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College in 1893. She served as Dr. Charles McIver's secretary until 1898 when she was hired by the National Museum in Washington, D.C., as a stenographer. After six months probation she was promoted to the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Scrapbook contains photographs and newspapers clippings.
Frances Peden Summerell Scrapbook
Frances Peden Summerell of China Grove, North Carolina, attended the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro) from 1913-1916. She participated in the Y.W.C.A., Athletic Association, Dramatic Club, Hockey team, Basketball team, and Tennis team. She served her class as Senior Class Vice President and graduated in 1916 with a Bachelor of Pedagogy degree. The scrapbook includes mounted or inserted cards, pictures, photographs, invitations, correspondence, valentines, clippings, booklets, receipts, and personal notes and autographs from friends and classmates, with passages inscribed to Frances Summerell. Programs include Graduating exercises, Program of Commencement exercises, Class Day exercises, and Baccalaureate sermon for 1916. The scrapbook also contains mounted artifacts, including dried flowers, ribbons, fabric scraps, and other memorabilia dated from 1913-1916. Other contents include Field Day programs and ribbons, Adelphian Society material and ephemera, material relating to the Student Government Officer elections of 1916, and materials relating to graduation.
Gladys Taylor Hodges West Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Gladys Taylor Hodges West between 1916 and 1919, documents West's student experience at the State Normal and Industrial College (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook contains photographs of friends and classmates, a Freshman-Sophomore picnic invitation, Cornelian Literary Society ephemera, and Old English Pageant ephemera.
Helen E. McBee Scrapbook
Helen E. McBee was a student at the North Carolina College for Women (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro), graduating in 1929 with a Bachelor's degree in English. While attending the college, McBee was a member of the Cornelian Society, the Spanish Club, and Honor Roll. This scrapbook documents McBee's experience as a student and consists of materials dating from 1924 to 1939. The scrapbook was designed and illustrated by Elizabeth Colborne and published by The Reilly and Lee Company of Chicago. It contains a Freshman Spanish exam, a newspaper clipping on Charles Lindberg's visit to Greensboro, Senior Unmusical programs from 1927 and 1928, a Stunt Night program from 1927, a letter from McBee's campus "Little Sister," a Park Night program from 1929, a Rotary Community Banquet menu from 1932, and text of a speech given by McBee at the Southern Baptist Convention held in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1932.

Hilda Weil Scrapbook
This scrapbook, created by Hilda Weil between 1922 and 1926, document's Weil's time as a student at the North Carolina College for Women (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook contains materials and ephemera related to membership in "Orchesus," a class toast to Juniors from Seniors, the 1926 class song lyrics, ephemera related to Weil's membership in the Adelphian Society, a letter announcing a delay in the opening of the college after winter break in 1922, menus from the Hylmore Tea Room and the O. Henry Hotel, materials related to the 1924 fund drive for the building of the Alumni House, newspaper clippings about the Curry Building fire, a history of the "Junior Shop," and materials related to Weil's term as Senior Class president.
