Glennette Page of North Mankato, Minnesota, joined the Women's Army Corps in 1942, at the age of 21. She completed basic training at Fort Des Moines, Iowa, and was sent overseas in early 1943. Staloch served as a switchboard operator in Casablanca and Algiers for six months and then in Italy for one and a half years. She worked for a telephone company upon her discharge in 1945, and married in 1946.
