This album contains old 6.5"x 4.5" sepia photographs of Guilford College scenery from around 1880 to 1900, all but one without people in them. Includes images of Founders Hall, Archdale, the original library and lab in King Hall, the Websterian Room, a student's room, the "cabinet" in which was stored T. Gilbert Pearson's collection of stuffed birds and bird paraphernalia (as well as a few other oddities). The interiors of several classrooms are depicted, including a large testing hall, a science class, and an art studio. In addition there are images of the fields surrounding Guilford featuring cattle, barns, and lonely trees. The last photo is the only one that depicts people, and features a barn behind a group of cattle that are being watched by several men.
