Four plates depicting Alamance General Hospital, 1961 - including the following inscription on the back: The columned portion of the building was opened as The Rainey Hospital, May 10, 1916. The successor, Alamance General Hospital, was chartered May 14, 1937. The Alamance General Hospital is being succeeded, in a new location, by the Memorial Hospital of Alamance County, chartered March 2, 1959.
