Pine needles [1960]
The 1960 yearbook includes a photo directory of campus buildings and student photos for each class, including the Commercial Class and the School of Nursing. Activities of note include the USO sponsored production of "The Women" by the WC Theatre for troops in the Pacific. The yearbook of the institution now known as The University of North Carolina at Greensboro was published between 1902 and 1993, first as The Decennial (1902), later as The Carolinian (1909-1917), and finally as Pine Needles (1920-1993).

The 1961 yearbook has a brief history of the past year, listing phrases and words to describe it. It also highlights the importance of womanhood.

The 1962 yearbook marks the seventieth anniversary of the college and includes a copy the original campus regulations from 1892.

The 1963 yearbook offers a glimpse of the majors on campus with a short paragraph describing each one. A section on second year nursing students was added. Other features include a section on highlights of the year on campus, a special events section, and an "About the Pine Needles" section.

The 1964 yearbook's publication coincides with the change of the college's name from Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, to The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The new coeducational system is briefly mentioned, and there are detailed descriptions of events on campus and an editor's note.

The 1965 yearbook contains some color photographs, and descriptions and photographs detailing the first year experience of being a UNC University.

The 1966 yearbook contains many photographs of student life and their experiences, photographs of department activities including some photographs in color.

The 1967 yearbook is the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding of UNCG and gives a history of the university. The 1968 yearbook contains an article on activism that was reprinted from the New York Times entitled "In the U.S. Demands" by Steven V. Roberts. It also contains a description of a Black Movement Forum, a series of lectures and discussions about the Black Power movement that was held on campus. It describes a seminar series on Vietnam, where the topics discussed were reasons for and against the war in Vietnam as well as a seminar entitled "Vietnam and You." Some of the speakers were Al Lowenstein and Robert Levine. This also contains pictures of students protesting against military recruiters being on campus. The yearbook displays off-campus photographs in addition to photographs on student life. This 1969 yearbook contains color photographs, poetry, photographs of the 1968 presidential election campaigns, student life photographs, photographs of Civil Rights demonstrations on campus, photographs of festivals, plays, and guest singers including Stevie Wonder, Clifford Curry, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and the Shirelles.
