The UNC Greensboro Textile Collection contains clothing and textiles relating to UNC Greensboro's history, including class banners, class jackets, gym suits, and other items significant to the institution's history.
Green silk-blend pennant with white appliqué reading, "TRUTH" and a lantern symbol with the numbers, "30." The pennant also has double ties at the end and measures 35" L x 16 3/4" W with 18" ties.
Red and white silk-blend pennant with white embroidery reading "Class of '31" on red background and the word, "COURAGE" embroidered in red on white background. The pennant also features an embroidered torch symbol and measures 32 1/4" L x 12 1/4" W.
Green and white banner with a white hanging cord and tassels. The banner reads, "PERSEVERANCE" in green felt and "'34" in white. It also features an embroidered flower design and measures 22" L x 14" W.
Red leather, double breasted 1935 Class Jacket with a matching belt. The jacket features a white patch with red stitching on the left-front pocket reading, "WC UNC, 35."
Lavender (faded to pink) and white satin banner with white embroidery reading, "NOSCE TE TE, '36" and a lavender embroidered fleur dis lis. The banner also features a white cord with tassels and a metal rod encapsulated in white ribbon. It measures 15 1/2" W x 20" L with 18" rod and 12" tassels.
Brown leather 1936 Class Jacket with a matching belt and a "WC UNC, 36" patch on the front-right pocket. The jacket was worn by student, Carolyn Hines.
Green suede, zip-front 1938 Class Jacket with a green and white leather patch on the front-left breast pocket reading, "WC UNC, 38." Also sewn on the inside of the jacket is a patch embriodered in green thread reading, "Ruth Ivey," a member of the Class of 1938.
