The UNC Greensboro Artifact Collection contains three-dimensional objects relating to UNCG's history, including class rings, commemorative china, mementos from faculty, and other items significant to the institution's history.
Gold. Harp-shaped pin with the Greek letters for Pi Kappa Lambda on the front. The back has the letter "T" (Tau chapter) and "W.R.B. 24. 1940." Belonged to Wade R. Brown.
Black ebony wood baton with ornamental gold capital, and a small gold plate on the shaft. Inscription on the plate reads,"Presented to Wade R. Brown by Iredell Orchestra on July 17, 1896." Kept in a special pouch.
Metal. A round, gold colored pin with the university seal and the words "The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 1891." "Class of 1951" is written on attached cardstock.
Gold. Round pin with Spartan head on the inside with "1891" underneath. Black border with "Woman's College of the University of North Carolina" written in gold.
WCUNC Department of Nursing Education Pin. "GJD" engraved on the back. Round pin with white background and gold star. Belonged to Gloria Jane Dunn, class of 1962.
Ribbon with badge. Labeled "Reception to William Jennings Bryan under the auspices of Commercial Travelers Anti-Trust League, Madison Square Garden, August 30, 1906." W.J. Bryan on the front. American flag ribbon. Belonged to Charles Duncan McIver
Round button with navy background. An outline of dog tags with "Veterans History Project" is done in white. Below that in red is www.loc.gov/vets. "The Library of Congress" is on the top in yellow and "American Folklife Center" on the bottom in yellow.
