Various documents which belonged to Dr. Charles D. McIver from about 1898 to 1906. These items represent many of Dr. McIver's affliations and memberships with regional and national organizations. Topics include W.H. Ragsdale, George Foster Peabody, the North Carolina Teachers Assembly, the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), University Club, Pennsylvania Society, and Westmoreland Club. Also included are Southern Education Board records of spending for the new Normal and Industrial School, material on various railroad agencies, notes possibly from educational conferences, and a complete essay by a critic of non-religious education.
