Well Crafted NC Oral History Collection

Well Crafted NC is a project documenting the history of beer and brewing in North Carolina. It is a product of the University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The collection contains oral history interviews with brewers, brewery owners, brewery employees, and others associated with North Carolina's craft beer industry.

Oral history interview with Ethan Hall, 2022
At the time of the interview, Ethan Hall was in the process of opening Leland Brewing Company in Leland, NC. In this interview, he discusses his plans for Leland Brewing as well as his prior experience in the craft beer industry. Hall talks about opening Azalea Coast Brewing Company in Wilmington, NC in 2005. He also details the impact of Hurricane Florence on his plans to open Tidewater Brewing Company in Wilmington in 2018.
