In this transcript of a August 12, 1982, oral history interview conducted by William Link with Hiram Hilty, Hilty recalls the formation of the Inter-Faculty Forum and describes the role it played in building bridges between the races and between educational institutions. He compares race relations in Cuba in the 1940s and in Greensboro after 1948. He also explains the circumstances surrounding the decision to desegregate Guilford College.
