Stella Minnie Mahler Pace (1909-2007), of Matteson, Illinois, served as a Radioman 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy WAVES from 1942-1944. Pace attended boot camp at the University of Wisconsin Madison and was stationed at the Naval Air Training Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
