A photograph album compiled by a woman, only identified as “Krash,” who served with the United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve during World War II. The album details Krash's time at Motor Transport School at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, circa 1943. Photographs include a “before and after” of Krash, one in her civilian clothes and the other in her Marine uniform; Women Marines in uniform in group photos and portraits smiling or saluting for the camera; Women Marines wearing coveralls with U.S.M.C. stenciled on the pockets and posed by Marine vehicles; a section captioned “recreation” shows the women posed by a lake, boating, sunbathing, and picnicking in the woods; and Women Marines in their barracks, writing letters, ironing their clothes, and laying in their bunks. Professional photographs from the M.T. School graduation show the women marching in a field with male marines looking on. Towards the end of the album there are photos of Women Marines aboard a Higgins boat and travel to Washington D.C.
