Oral history interview with Caroline Harrington Bradburn Bradford
Primarily documents the adolescence of Caroline Harrington Bradburn Bradford and her service with the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. Bradford recalls her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, and the lessons she learned in the Cadet Nurse Corps from the U.S. Army Registered Nurses, including resourcefulness, compassion, and competency. She describes the duties she was assigned at various Veteran's Administration hospitals, the challenges she faced, and her gratification at being able to contribute to the war effort.
