USMC Dress blue uniform
Marine Corps Dress Blue uniform, made of blue gabardine wool, with the U.S. Marines emblem on each lapel. It has four buttons down the front, one on each shoulder tab, and three on each of the decorative sleeve tabs. The buttons' design has an eagle with wings outspread, holding an anchor with rope in its talons, and 13 stars surround the top. Red piping surrounds the edges of the shoulder tabs, collar, and sleeve tabs. A decorative breast pocket adorns the left side of the coat. On each shoulder, Jenny Barker's rank insignia of staff sergeant is indicated. There are two diagonal stripes on each sleeve (each stripe signifying four years of service in the Marine Corps.) Barker served nine and 1/2 years and would have received a third stripe after twelve years of service.
