One letter from Sara Furman and two letters from unknown male writers describe experiences during World War I. The 1918 letter written by Sara Furman documents her voyage to England. She describes her fellow passengers; primarily YMCA women; the small boat; and her accommodations and facilities. Other topics include a party and Thanksgiving dinner and social news. The other two letters are written to a Charles S. Hammond; who appears to have been a supply officer; from two members of the American Expeditionary Force. Both provide general information about the state of their units. The relationship between Sara Furman and Charles S. Hammond is unknown.
