Mr. R. J. Douglas gave a lecture on Greensboro history. The Blind and Deaf Committee would be absorbed by the Social Welfare Committee. Flannes were sent to the Rest Cottage and a Sewing Committee was to start knitting caps for the Red Cross.

Fundraising within the circles are successful and garments are being made for the Red Cross. Mrs. Arno of the City Libraries spoke about the Library's efforts to establish patient libraries in local hospitals.

The meeting discussed the Australian Ballet and the 6th grade school achievement that was to come before the NC State Legislature. Mrs. Sidney Stern asked that old clothing be collected to be sent to Russia to help some relatives of a local family. The council was asked to send delegates to the Fourth Conference on Peace on January 14-17 in Washington, and vote to hold the National Council of Jewish Women Triennial in January 1930. The Sewing Committee reports they sent articles of clothing and linens to the Red Cross, Farm School, and Hadassah Milk Fund. The meeting ended with a program of famous Jewish men and women.

The Council discussed the conference between English Prime Minister Ramsay McDonald and President Herbert Hoover at Rapidan Camp and what the conference meant for furthering the Peace Committee's mission. The Council was successful in placing 22 college students in homes for the Holy Days. The Council also discussed support of immigrants at Ellis Island, the Sophie Einstein Fund, and Red Cross creation of "Christian" bags for the military. The Council continued to prepare for the Triennial and Atlantic Section's annual conference in Cumberland, Maryland on November 5-6. The meeting ended with Grace VanDyke Moore from the North Carolina College for Women giving a presentation on the benefits of an early music education.

The meeting opened with a discussion of current events of Jewish interest, such as the work of Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein. The Council went through their charitable efforts which included aid to the Guildford County Sanitorium and Travelers Aid. The Council also voted to oppose the implication of the calendar so that they will not affect the Holy Days and Sabbath. The meeting ended with North Carolina College for Women Professor Dr. Ruth Colling's presentation on "Prenatal and Infant Care."

Annual luncheon meeting of the National Council of Jewish women to celebrate the end of the fiscal year and the change of officers. President J. W. Cone gave a speech discussing loyalty of the incoming officers and the need to have high attendance among council members. Each subcommittee provided a summary of the council's accomplishments and community involvement. The Committee on Peace announced its major interest for the year was the World Court, Causes and Cure of War, and the London Naval Conference to discuss disarmament. To end the meeting the Program Committee held an old council picture conference.
