Ladies Aid Society 1916-1931

Minutes of the Greensboro Section of the National Council of Jewish Women
The meeting opened with a discussion of current events of Jewish interest, such as the work of Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein. The Council went through their charitable efforts which included aid to the Guildford County Sanitorium and Travelers Aid. The Council also voted to oppose the implication of the calendar so that they will not affect the Holy Days and Sabbath. The meeting ended with North Carolina College for Women Professor Dr. Ruth Colling's presentation on "Prenatal and Infant Care."
