United Dry Forces of North Carolina 1933 - 1941
Documentation relating to the United Dry Forces of North Carolina, an initiative that attempted to ban legal alcohol distribution in North Carolina. Included are several newspaper clippings of their activities, pamphlets, and notes made during one of their meetings by Raymond Binford.

North College Conference - Correspondence 1920-34
Letters, programs, and drafts from the North Carolina College Conference of which Greensboro area educators Dr. Raymond Binford, Samuel B. Turrentine, and Dr. J. A. Highsmith served as members and chairmen. Topics of these documents include papers of Dr. Binford's time as Chairman of the Commission on Uniform Examinations, documents from the 1925, 1927, 1929, 1932, and 1933 conferences, an essay or possibly a speech about the history of the conference, and a draft for an "Athletic Manifesto."

Documents pertaining to the North Carolina College Conference Academy Committee of 1933, specifically on the discussion of the standardization of science college courses. The majority of the correpondence relates to this. There is also a questionnaire on science teaching methods and a report on the Committee on Science Equipment.

Helen Binford - PTA - Games, Ideas and Recipes
Miscellaneous materials and documents pertaining to the PTA and their ideas for activities and games for children. Included are several rhymes and song lyrics, a proposal for a play production called "A Garden Bequeathed," a speech or monologue titled "Ma Dusenberry and Her Girls," plans for games, and several crafts such as a paper crane and a card in the shape of a turkey.

This folder contians materical relating to the planning and creation of the Walter Woodward Memorial. Includes correspondence planning the memorial, a biography, and a fund in his name. The details of the fund, which would grant people money to write about history, are on a brochure. Also there are some rough hand-written accounts of Walter Woodward's life, as well as a booklet on his life titled "Walter C. Woodward, Editor and Friend."

This folder contains material relating to the Greensboro Girl Scouts (with which Helen Binford was heavily involved) from 1932 to 1934.
H. B. Guilford Club 1930 - 1931
Documents relating to the Guilford College Club, which was a group that seemed to raise money for objects and events of cultural significance relevant to Guilford College. In the folder are meeting minutes discusing the erection of a memorial hall, the creation of a quilt "to go to Luetta Knight," planning for a play entitled, "What Every Woman Knows," and a proposal for a "Library Day." Along with several handwritten notes, there is a rough program for the play "Buying Culture," and a flyer for the sale of Guilford College memorial plates.

This folder contains material relating to the Duke Institute of International relations, specifically extensive correspondence between Raymond Binford and various parties discussing the establishment of the Institute in Cooperation with the American Friends Service Committee and Duke University.
