Carnegie Free Library

Two Carnegie libraries opened as part of the segregated Greensboro Public Library in 1902, this one and the Carnegie Negro Library near Bennett College. The latter is till standing, though it is no longer used as a library. Additional Carnegie facilities were located at the State Normal and Industrial College (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and at Guilford College.
