The Immanuel Lutheran College Collection contains handwritten and printed materials chronicling the events leading to the establishment of this Lutheran college for black teachers and ministers in Greensboro, as well as its early years. This speech advocates for the admission of girls to the new Immanuel Lutheran College in Concord, North Carolina. It was delivered at the private session of the Immanuel Conference in Salisbury, North Carolina, on July 8, 1903.
History of Immanuel Lutheran College
Rev. John C. Schmidt wrote this history of Immanuel Lutheran College, which was read at the laying of the cornerstone for the college's main building in 1905.
