Genevieve "Gene" Kennedy (1918-2011) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, served in the United States Women's Army Corps (WAC), from 1945-1946. Kennedy did her basic training at Fort. Oglethorpe, Georgia. Her first assignment in February 1945 was with the 6oth WAC company Medical Corps in surgery at the Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. On 15 March 1946 she served as a clerk in Ward 5.
