April Dant (b. 1996), of Savannah, Georgia, served in the United States Army from 2015-2016. She trained as a Patriot Missile Launcher Enhancer. April Dant was born 16 November 1996 in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Windsor Forest High School in 2014. Dant joined the army in March 2015 shortly after having her first child. She did her basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and had her advanced training as a Patriot Missile conductor. During her advanced training, Dant got injured resulting over 120 fractures. As a result of this Dant had to extend her advanced training. She was accused of misconduct by another soldier and was discharged from military service. On the last day of her being on base, Dant was sexually assaulted by multiple men from the base. After her experience in the military Dant suffered from PTSD from both her injury and sexual assault. She got help via therapy a few years after being in service and went on to appeal her discharge status.
