The scrapbook documents the nurse's time at Pearl Harbor, #10 Naval Hospital beginning in 1944. It includes autographs of friends, a certificate for "Domain of Neptunus Rex", photographs of her voyage by boat to Pearl Harbor, portrait photographs of colleagues, as well as photographs taken near the hospital and the beach, President Roosevelt's visit to the hospital, The Mormon Temple, pineapple trees and what appears to be native Hawaiians, leisure and recreation activities, swimming, ice skating, sunbathing, and trips to Hawaii National Park. Other photographs document various landmarks in Hawaii, the awarding of the Purple Heart to the Guam Marine Casualties, as well as the Purple Heart Ceremony to Iwo Jima casualties. Some of the photos are captioned "Patients on P.T." suggesting that the Nurses took patients out on the beach for their physical therapy.

Navy Nurse, possibly Nellie Landes (b. 1920) of Ohio who trained at Massillon City Hospital in Ohio. As a member of the Navy Nurse Corps, she the nurse was stationed at the New York Naval Training Center in Sampson, New York. In May 1944, she was transferred to Pearl Harbor #10 Naval Hospital in Hawaii.
