The collection consists of seven letters written by two U.S. Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) soldiers to U.S. Army Private First Class Gerald R. McCubbins who was stationed at Camp Cooke, California. Four letters were written by Corporal Helen Myers who was stationed with Company 3, 5th WAAC Training Center in Camp Ruston, Louisiana. The other three letters were written by WAAC soldier Auxiliary First Class Anne Freeman who was stationed in Conway, Arkansas where she was part of the WAAC Branch No. 3 Army Air Service Corps. All letters are from 1943.
