Full biography: Norma L. Harris (1918-1988) of San Francisco, California, served as a staff sergeant in the WAC (Women's Army Corps) from 1943 to 1948. Norma L. Harris of San Francisco, California, joined the WAC in July 1943. In September 1946, she was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, as a staff sergeant until her discharge in July 1948.

: WAC songbook; A collection of songs for members of the Women's Army Corps (WAC) published at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. There are 57 songs printed on 26 pages." Many of the WAC songs are modified versions of existing songs that make use of famous tunes, such as "Women's Army Corps"It Isn't Any Trouble" and "The Pee Wee Song" all sung to "Battle Hymn of the Republic"We're the Women's Army Corps" and several parodies sung to "The Caissons Go Rolling Along" and "Staging Area," sung to "John Brown's Body."
