Dale A. Van Vacter Angers (1913-2009) of Texas City, Texas, served with the United States Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC), Women's Army Corps (WAC) and regular Army from 1942 to 1963. Dale A. Van Vacter Angers was born in Texas City, Texas, on 4 August 1913. She joined the WAAC on July 12, 1942 and remained in the Army for two decades, achieving the rank of major on 1 November 1950. She married Col. Walter Angers on 21 December 1957. Angers retired from the Army on 1 November 1963.
