: Pearl Berlin [subject file]; Biographical file documenting the career of Pearl Berlin (1925-2018), a faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology at UNC Greensboro and an activist for marriage equality. Berlin was married to Ellen "Lennie" Gerber, a lawyer and also an activist for LGBTQ+ issues. Both were members of Greensboro's Beth David Synagogue, where they were the first same-sex couple to be married in 2013.
