-
This scrapbook, created by Margaret Catherine Moore, documents Moore's experience as a college student during the years 1931-1935, as the North Carolina College for Women transitioned to Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook is divided into sections by school year, and contains Athletic Association handbooks for 1931-1934, numerous programs from and tickets to Playlikers performances, and documentation of student activities, including Student Council, Senior "Unmusical," hockey coaching, and Big Sisters. Also included are correspondence, photographs, and postcards relating to the Student Government camp held at Roaring Gap, North Carolina; and the "Blue Book Primer for Bright Budding Beginners," a handbook including class songs, places of interest, and dos and don'ts. There are many handwritten notes in the scrapbook, some from students of the Curry School, where Moore student taught physical education.
