The Jacob Henry Smith Family Papers consist of genealogy, correspondence, manuscripts and photographs pertaining to the ancestry, experiences, and ventures of the Smith family. Jacob Henry Smith served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church from 1859 to 1894, but the digitized items relate to his son, Dr. Henry Louis Smith, his grandson, Dr. O. Norris Smith, and the 65th General Hospital during World War II.
An article from the Greensboro Record (now the News and Record) about Henry Louis Smith conducting some of the first X-ray experiments in the United States.
